A/C question

A/C question
So my wife was driving the Audi (2004 A4 3.0 Quattro sport)today, and says when she turns on the A/C, the car almost dies and starts to shake! I haven't experiencedit yet, but I'm thinking that it's just the compressor cycling on and off. Does anyone know if there is a common problemwith the A/C comp. or clutch?
