I have a 2006 A4 Cabriolet (B6). It is equipped with RNS-E, bluetooth, XM satellite (activated) in trunk, and 6 disk CD changer in glove compartment.

The RNS-E display is bad. I can still listen to XM and use the up/down channel feature of the steering wheel controls. I can use the bluetooth to call with the steering wheel controls.

I have opened up the unit and it appears the ribbon cable is okay (but not 100% sure). Can't find a replacement ribbon cable. Can't find a replacement screen.

I have considered changing the head unit to a symphony if that is possible (@$300 ebay). Is this a simple swap? Any ideas?
