Can oil leak cause clutch slip?
I've been watching all of the recent clutch threads and getting great info so thank you everyone. Looking forward to the Stage 1 clutch from ECS that they put on holiday special. any thoughts on that? Good deal or is there a better one out there?
Here's my real question: Is it possible that an oil leak could be giving me slippage? Main seal or breather tubing on top side? Situation: Daily driver, sits for the weekend generally. Right before last oil change I had a low oil light which I never get. Topped it off and changed oil a week later. Hasn't been a problem since, standard minimal burn off. Pattern is that it seems that I have more clutch slipping after vehicle sits for extended time. 4 day weekend out of town and come back to "holy crap my clutch is almost gone" but by the end of the following day it was fine again.
Can step on it in 5th gear at highway speed and sometimes it slips but most of the time it doesn't. Sometimes cornering in third gear it will slip also, but not always. Can't find a pattern.
Would the cold weather contribute to this at all?
Any comments appreciated!!! Thank you in advance!

Main seal might ya, if you got any oil on the clutch itself. When you change the clutch get the kit it has the centering tool and bearing. Also resurface the flywheel or better yet get a lighter one and change the main seal,
Or even better, how many miles on the car? it might be time for a new clutch already... You can go OEM or get a complete new set ups with a solid flywheel instead of the dual mass. Mike2ptzero from ringer-racing.com has good setups and he can recommend you a cheap set up as well or the ECS seems like a good option too.
