Hey guys,

The other day when I was driving I decided to have some fun and drive the car in "S" mode. The only problem was that I wasn't able to shift into "S" mode. I'm not sure what this could be. 2 weeks ago I replaced the rack and pinion. That week I was still able to drive in "S" mode. This past week I replaced the thermostat. I've driving around with no issues until I tried "S" mode again and I wasn't able to shift.

I currently have the yellow triangle w/ exclamation mark warning light showing. I'm thinking it may be due to removing the battery. I will disconnect it and reset it. But today I was driving and the car started stalling when I accelerated...like it was going to die. It did this a few times. I put the shifter in manual mode and then back to "D" and it worked fine.

Does anyone know if these two things are related or what the cause could be?

Oh, I also cleaned my air filter and TBody.

Your Triangle with exclamation mark means either your ESP / Traction control is turned off or there is something wrong with it....

 

Ok so yesterday morning I was able to shift into "S" mode but it was kind of difficult. It didn't shift easily. Ever since then I have had no problems shifting. Maybe it's time for a transmission fluid flush...I just hope the transmission is not going bad.
