Car throwing p0341 after new cylinder head - everything triple checked
Need help finding the root of code p0341. After my mechanic put in a new cylinder head, tb, water pump and all the necessities the code came up. The car is in limp mode so no boost and very slow to drive. He said the timing has been checked multiple times as well as the cam sensor ohms and wiring voltage. However the trigger wheel for the cam sensor does not fit flush when bolt is torqued. Is this throwing the code?? Is the new cylinder head not 100%? Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I'd find the problem with the trigger wheel first. Possible the locating tab is damaged causing the wheel to be "out of time" with the camshaft. Have seen this many times.
Also, has the CHAIN timing been checked? Since the sensor reads off the intake cam, even if the belt timing of the exhaust cam is OK, the intake cam can be off. Assume when you say you had a new cyl. head put on it was a reman unit
with the camshafts already installed(?)
As I mentioned, find the problem with the trigger wheel first.
