check on your driver's side floormat to see if it's wet, if it is, the ECM is right under there and is most likely shot.

Dealer just called and said it's a bad ECM. Tried another that was laying around the shop and the car started right up. I wonder how often these go out.

I have the same thing happening. Can you tell me where the fuel pump relay was for your 2004 a4 3.0L
