Default CEL/Codes =[

Well, I had a misfire after I had the APR Stage 1+ software installed/TT fuel injectors.
I bought a whole new set of Hitachi coil packs and NGK spark plugs..my Carobonio CAI and Forge DV came in that same day so being the idiot i was I installed the coilpacks ..then intake..finally the DV all together before I started my car. So i was finally done and started my car and it was fine...drove it around the block and CEL came on (wasn't blinking). I stopped and popped the hood and smelled some rubber or burning plastic come out of the engine block. Next day i ran the codes and p0304 and p0444 popped up. Now, another stupid move was I didn't check the gaps on the spark plugs i put in so it might be that but im stumped as to the EVAP code I got.

Thanks in advance
Mike

First things first.... You got a burning smell right? So take everything back off, check the gapping, find out whats burning (because obviously, if it wasn't burning before you did the work then the burning is a direct result of what you did during the work) and fix that, then reinstall everything. Man, I can't believe you didn't check the gapping!!!!!

I took care of it this weekend. One of the wires was unplugged, plugged it back and and cleared the EVAP code. Everything else seemed fine, gaps were fine...and it wasn't misfiring anymore. So i switched coilpacks 1 and 4 and CEL still has yet to come on.

Make sure you keep the old working coilpacks in your trunk as spares.. you never know when you will need them
