My first Audi and it does not have an owners manual. Is the plate in the pic with the arrow pointing to it a cover plate or is it supposed to open? And if it does open, how? It seems to move a bit when I push on it but nothing happens. Seems strange that Audi would just put a cover plate with no function. Is there an optional something that goes in here?

 

I think thats just a cover plate. What year is you Audi?

That's the part number to confirm, I do no know how it opens, my guess is that it should be pressed and as you release it it sould open.

 

yes, the car is a 2005 cab. Can anyone else confirm that the plate is actually a door that opens? I have the quick reference guide which shows it labeled as storage.

 

It turns out that for 2005 this is only a cover plate. For later years it is a storage compartment with an opening door.

 

well, that sucks.
