Does anyone know if it is possible to unlock all doors with key?

My car only unlocks drivers door with key then when you put key in ignition it then unlocks the other doors. The remote is not working at moment so have to use key.

I was wondering if it can be changed on Vag Com? Been looking into it but can only see things that affect the remote fob not the key itself. Bit annoying having to turn ignition on to unlock other doors

What about the lock/unlock switch above the window switch on the door? I know it's not quite what you want, but it should operate w/o having to turn the car on. Also, have you put a new battery in the remote? I would imagine that a dead battery is the most common reason they stop working, and it's a pretty common battery (CR2032, should only cost you a few dollars at most).

 

Hi, yes have tried new battery. But remote will not work. Also can use the interior button but would like the key just to unlock all doors

If you have vag com you should just program the key so the remote will work.

 

The remote will not re program, When I got it the battery was in upside down so I think maybe it has fried it

Turn the key once to unlock the drivers door. Then turn the key twice to unlock all the doors...I think.
