is it possible for my check engine light to come on if i haven't fixed my oil sensor yet? it recently came on but my car seems to run just fine i just wanna know can that be the reason why the light came on

 

Go to autozone and get a code.. If you have a vag-com, even better. A CEL can come on for many things, including a bad oil sensor

Funny, but my wife's B6 has had the CEL on for about 3 months intermittently, so I haven't taken the time to actually try to figure out what the problem is. The car seems to run just fine, though, so all I've done so far is capture the codes using VCDS and store them in a log file.

VCDS from Ross-Tech is a really smart investment if you own an Audi.

 

probably a cat code. Thats normally the problem if u car runs fine but that stupid light is on. Mostly caused by using cheap gas and burning the 02 sensor upp.

 

i use shell gas im not sure if thats good gas or not but how would someone burn the 02 sensor

 

shell gas is one of the best in terms of quality and detergents. get the scan done. i'm sure a bad oil level sensor would also trip the CEL but how often and why would those crap out?

I have g62 sensor CEL code, and my car runs good, although i need to get myself to fix that problem...

Not to hijack someones thread, but anyone had ever replaced g62 sensor ? how long does it take ?
