3.0 TDi running cold
Audi A8 D3-platform 3.0 TDi '07 130 000km (80 000m)
Since the beginning of winter (with temperatures between 0*Celsius and 10*Celsius (32*F and 50*F)), my vehicle behaves as if the thermostat got stuck in the open position. It takes ages to warm up, the temperature needle only starts moving after 10 minutes driving in traffic, the interior remains cold despite setting the air conditioner on 'HI' (for the first 8 minutes) and on a downhill run (after the engine had reached operating temperature), the temperature guage drops significantly back.
I need help as the thermostat was replaced without changing the situation. I can live with a cold interior, but do not want the V6 submitted to any more wear than is necessary.
(The fuel consumption seems to be unaffected).
