Constant tail light bulb replacement on my B6
Hi,
I know this is a common issue with the older Audis and has been addressed for other models on this forum. For the A6 model, the solution apparently is tied to cleaning the "ground wire". Based on what I've read here: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/aud...e-help-166469/ , I took apart my left tail light but do not see a separate ground wire like in A6 models.
I have had this problem for over 5 years now and it's been a constant struggle. One of the light bulbs would go off, I'll then have to remove the assembly and then screw in a new light bulb or often the same light bulb. Often the light bulbs are in perfectly good condition so it's very likely it must have something to do with the holder or wires that connect to it. I took apart the light harness today and did not find anything that seemed like a 'ground pin'. Sorry, bit of a novice here. Can someone help? I have attached some pictures here. Can someone tell me where this pin/wire is?
