Default Crush washer won't come off drain plug

I just changed the oil on my new B6 for the first time today. All of the posts say to replace the crush washer that is on there. The washer on my drain plug wouldn't come off (and it was not copper like the replacement crush washers I bought). Did Audi put permanent washers on their drain plugs at some point?

Mine's permanent, 4 changes since i've had the car and not a leak. I wouldn't sweat it too much...

see, this doesnt make any sense...a "permanant crush washer?" It can only crush so much until it cannot be crushed anymore. I would throw the copper one on.

its not a crush washer as such but a copper washer or steel/bronze, if it were over tightened then it would spread but I think its the way the newer cars are made with a permanent washer
