I need a new hanger bearing and have been told that I have to buy the whole drive shaft. The bearing itself is not bad, it's the rubber that holds the bearing to the support that's bad. Is there any way of fixing the rubber? If not what year drive shafts fit in an 02 A4 1.8t quattro 5 speed. And what compatibility is there with VW?

I think the front suspension is from the VW passat is the same as the A4.
