dv problem
Everytime I connect the vacuum line on the dv I get no boost at all ,once I disconnect the vacuum line from it I drive it for a little bit and it starts boosting all the time . Any1 have an idea what's goin on , I need help I'm very frustrated
It's probably sticking open, and is bad. See if you can source a cheap used one to see if it fixes the problem. There's a way to test it I believe by disconnecting it and pressing it open, it should stay open? Someone will chime in about how to test it
it opens because of vacuum, when you close the throttle, there is a vacuum in the intake manifold.
what you need is a vacuum pump. remove diverter valve and attach vacuum pump to valve and it should open, if you relieve the vacuum it should close. if it doesnt, you can remove the top and try regreasing the diaphragm... dont drive with out it connected, you will do damage to the turbo and possibly throttle body over time.

Ok thanks , the valve was recently replaced like 3 months ago . When I took it out I pressed it in n it wasn't staying it closed right away . But wen I put the vacuum pump to it , it does stay open .
heres a makeshift diagram lol.

but no that wont make it stick open.unless your boosting it might push the valve up if it was installed backwards... take it out and clean it..
