Default economy button

I have noticed that my economy button on my climate change panel is on. I went to shut it off and it doesn't shut off? Does anyone know what my problem might be?
Thank you

It means there is something wrong with your a/c. I would take it somewhere and have it checked out. It may be something simple like needing to be recharged.

My 02 A4 3.0 just started doing the same thing today... Did you figure it out yet? Gotta go to the dealer anyways to get a new center brake light.. so I will see what they say...

It might need recharge or maybe the little control panel needs changing.

Im taking the car to the dealer at 2pm today.. so I will post what they tell me sometime after that. I bought a do it yourself refill kit and when I attached the gauge to the low pressure side the gauge needle spun all the way around past the red zone and #'s. Pretty much it was showing over 80 psi in the low side. This cannot be normal. Seems like a valve somewhere stopped working and let the high pressure side into the low pressure side. Anyone have this happen before?

Alright, dealer said the 'Hi-Pressure Sensor' was faulty. $68.50 for the part, $190 for labor. They replaced the switch, recharged the system and now my a/c is ice cold again. Total cost with tax $263. Hope this helps you narrow down the possibility's for your a/c.

Seems like all 3.0 owners have similar issues. I'll take mine to our local aircon guy
