Default Engine Shudder after APR stage 1

Got the car chipped couple of weeks ago, its been running great. But this morning, driving in to work, I was parked at a stoplight and suddenly the engine shuddered-the rpm dipped to around 300 and immediately bounced back to 800. After that-nothing- everything is running fine. Has this happened to anyone before?

I am worried that this is a bad sign- that something is going to fail soon.

Plus, my car is under warranty but they won't fix anything if they think it was caused by the chipping.

It might be a Coil Pack on the brink of death. They usually go after a chip is put in. Common problem not too expensive either prolly $40+

the garage where I got the car chipped was very helpful- they said it was nothing to worry about- this is what he said:

" If the car wasn’t up to temperature completely it could have been the oxygen sensor coming on line. Or the secondary air injection system turning on and/or off will also raise and lower the idle"

One thing about the coils- how does a coil just "go"? I mean, does it get worse over time? It doesn't make sense-I mean, putting a new coil in doesn't get rid of the underlying cause that made the coil go, right?

No...but they are known to go bad after they are put under strain like a chip. It doesn't mean you're hurting the coil packs its just that they are being worked 100%. I keep an extra set in my trunk just in case because 2 popped on me already so I switched to the 'E' model packs and I haven't had a problem since.
