Default ESP - when esp light comes on should you get audible alert as well?

does anyone know if when ESP is on and you lose traction, when esp light comes on, on the dash, should you get audible alert as well?

My car doesnt do this but I would like this feature as you dont notice the dash light really.

If its not standard is there any way to enable by VAG COM?

hope someone can help thanks

My car makes a racket when the ESP kicks in and you can feel the behavior change as it applied the various brakes to keep me in line.

No noise and I never notice the light.

You should see a orange warning light on the dashboard when ESP kicks in. The icon looks like a triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle and a circle around it.

Mine doesn't make any audible alert but I do hear ABS pumping and see the icon flashing.

The light does come on when my tires start to slip. Just saying the car's behavior is more than enough to let me know that the ESP is actively working to correct the slippage.

Thanks for the information everyone. Been very busy so only just got chance to reply.

It snowed here finally! woo. so have had a change to go and test out the traction control etc.. and turn it off for more fun around the office carpark

if the esp is active, doing work, it should be blinking. if it is simply lit then the esp is off (you'll see what i mean if you turn it off manualy via ESP button)
