Default help esp problems

Hi having problems with my esp. The esp light seems to come on randomly when i am driving but then refuses to go off when i press the esp switch. I have to turn the engine off then restart it for it to clear but then after a while it turns on again. Can any one help me out there. Thanks .

I have the same problem but I figured is the ABS sensor going out, so I don't really mind it. It comes on when driving more than one hour straight.

The ABS sensor controls the ESP, and the position of the ABS sensor is right behind the driver's side headlight, when you mount aftermarket HIDs the ballast sometimes generates interference with the ABS thus giving you the fault at times. Like I mentioned above, mine comes on every now and then too, I don't pay it much attention really, probably my ABS don't work but I'm sure is the sensor showing signs of age.

I think they go for about 250 USD, It doesn't seem difficult to replace, I've never done one though.

Some of the aftermarket ballasts cause these your ESP light to show up. Well more like the way you install them.
