I have recently installed HIDs for my fog lights on an A4 saloon B6. They ignite and stay on looking fantastic but I have noticed that when the car is stationary they at times flicker slightly. Pliz good people does anyone know of the fix to this problem, if so pliz help with the write-up!

 

Double check all the connections and make sure you have good ground. If all fails might be a bad ballast.

 

X2 on a bad igniter/ballast.

 

what brand lights? the vvme kit is giving me this problem as soon as i installed them

also besides the fact that their rebased hid bulb flickers if it hit a bump because it doesnt fit exactly into the stock headlight

bad kit, anyone know a good kit?

 

ive used VVME and i have no fitament or any other problems what so ever, luck of the draw? vvme will replace their product if it's faulty....

 

I had this problem with a previous car. There is a company on ebay that sells a wire harness kit that eliminates all the flickering issues. Poke around on ebay I'm sure you'll find it. Think I paid like 20 bucks for it.

 

Thanks guys for the continued support & advice, my connections are fine and the ground is sound but they still flicker. About the E-bay harness, I saw one which is labelled capacitor/warning cancellor, It failed to cure this problem, The ballasts have a one year no questions warranty but I just wanted to eliminate all other possibilities. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO SEND THEM BACK!.
