Front lower speakers not working!?
hi guys,
does anyone have any ideas why my front lower speakers are not working? Its the concert system on a 2006 A4 S-Line. the tweeters and dash speaker all work fine. All the rear speakers work too. I took off the drivers door card(without breaking any clips!!) and disconnected everything. Plugged all back in but still no low range speaker. Anyone have any ideas? They came on once after going over a speed bump. Also it has a parrot mki9200 kit fitted but i went over all connections with the radio turned on and still no change.
Thanks
Paul

Problem solved
Hi paul,
not sure if you are still looking for an answer but i figured out the problem with my car. I removed the door card and lower speaker. The lower speaker has a protective grill on the back. Once you remove it you will see 2 wires that connect the speaker to the plug from the door harness. I found that one of those thin copper like wires was loose from its soldering on the lower speakers on both sides. After heading over to auto zone and grabbing some solder and an iron the problem is fixed and i am happy to say that the factories sound pretty darn good. Sorry i forgot to take pics but email me if you have any questions

Ok, so I took a look. The speakers on both sides seem to be wired ok. I also noticed power comes to the lower speaker, and is then fed to the tweeter, all wired in parallel. So if the tweeters are working?? are my speakers blown? I find it strange that both front lower speakers are not working and this would lead me to believe the problem is elsewhere. I'm going to let an Parrot audio specialist have a look next week to make sure the hands free kit is correctly installed. After that I'll borrow a head unit to see if the amplifier in my one has packed in. What do ye think?

Ummm i think this might still be your issue bc i had the exact same symptom tweeters worked but lowers didnt on both sides. I was convinced that they were blown too so much so that i went looking for new component sets but my friend grabbed a radio and some speaker wire and touched the 2 wires circled below and the speakers worked...after that we soldered them back together and my factory system sounds AWESOME now. just keep in mind to get to these wires you must completely disconnect the speaker remove it from the door and take off the rear grille with the white rubber around it. These wires may look attached but if they work when you touch those speaker wires to them you have found your issue. Let me know what you find out.
