Default Fuel Economy

Ive got an 03 3.0 quattro and im thinking my gas mileage isnt quite up to par. just curious what everyone else's average gas mileage is. i dont drive for long periods of time on average 55 mph with stop signs every 5 or 6 miles and a mile or 2 of 35 mph with a few stop lights. usually about 20 miles overall and my average mpg is like 17-18. it seems kind of low to me...

The 3.0 does not get as good gas mileage as the 1.8T. My daughter's 2003 A4 3.0 MT6 is also in the 18-20 mpg range around town but on extended highway trips ~70 mph it gets closer to 25-26mpg. I suspect at 55-60 it would be in the high 20s. In the winter both my Audis average 1-2 mpg less due to the cold in MI, and different winter gas mixture that is sold here. Make sure your tires at properly inflated as this has a huge impact on gas mileage. Each 10o drop in temp can decrease the tire pressure by 1 psi.
