Default Fumes

I am new to this I have a 2005 A4 cabriolet and when I am at a stop I can smell the Exhaust fumes when using the heater I have just bought the car and am not sure if this is normal once I am moving the smell goes away also if I use the cabin air button it dose not happen. Any info would be great thanks in advance

Exhaust smell or gas? I have a gas smell and it turned out to be fuel injector seals.

maybe theres a small exhaust leak around the headers.the fumes from that area could easily be drawn into the cabin
