My gearshift cover is coming apart, wtf. Do I need the dealer?

 

No, you can buy an aftermarket with the **** on it. But it won't look nice. I'd dish out a few extra bucks and buy the replacement one or check out e-bay. Also you can try to take the boot out, sew it and put it back if you don't mind the fixed look on it.
