i have a 2003 A4 1.8T and as soon as i turn the ignition on and place into drive and take off i hear somewhat of a quick grinding sound that never comes back unless i turn off the car and start it and take off again, can anyone identify this problem please?

 

Does this sound increase or decrease when you apply your brakes?

 

Its just a quick grinding sound for like 2 seconds if that and thats the end of it until i turn off the ignition and on again and take off. It happens every single time!

 

same issue to my 03 audi a4 3.0.
i let a dealer technician drive to feel it. he can not duplicate the problem and i think he might add little too much gas so thesound is covered bythe sound of the engine.

 

do you think its something to worry about?
