Headlamp issue
Hello all and i would like to say hi to all of the members out there, this is my first post on here which is probably a positive thing. However i do have an issue with the headlamps on my 2004 S4.
it appears to have the most complicated headlamp system created with the xenon bulbs and self leveling. Actually there lies the problem as the self leveling does not appear to be doing any leveling as i currently have one light pointing north and the other south, also they are not bright at all, on a closer inspection i noticed that the nearside headlamp projector is loose as i can move it up and down with my finger
As a cheaper alternative i am considering replacing both headlamps with stock halogen headlamps and bulbs which can no doubt be manually adjusted. Is it possible to do this or is the wiring going to be a big problem, perhaps different connectors etc, interested to hear if anyone has actually done this or if there is a DIY on how to do it. I know most people will think why would you want to convert back to halogen but Xenons and self leveling is just to much hassle, i just want to be able to see where i am going
Thanks in advance
