Default Help make me decide

Hi guys I found out that my wife's uncle is selling his Passat. However, he is keeping his 19'' A8 Rims since he wont get anything extra from a dealer for them. So he asked me if I wanted them.....for free!!! Well I have stock 17" 5 spoke A4 rims and they are beat up. Heres the question....should I mount these 19" monsters and probably sacrafice proformance or keep the stock rims? I don't know the weight difference or how much either one weighs. I attached a pic of them.

it depends how big is the tire. If the tire is higher than 40mm (or even 35mm) it could touch the fender.
I like those rims :P

well I dont know the size tire on there but it fits my uncle-in-law's dropped Passat.....so I didn't really think about it since VW is a cousin of Audi.

Definitely at least try them out. If you don't like them then give them back... pretty obvious choice IMO. The correct tire size for 19's on an A4 should be 235/35R19 or 245/35R19. On stock suspension there shouldn't be any rubbing issues. When I go from my winter 17's to summer 19's I do lose a tiny bit of pick up but they do have better grip.

you WILL see a difference in performance cuz
1. they are much heavier
2. bigger in diameter
BUT i would still put them on to see how they look

Ok...I will try them and post some pics up here. I heard they aren't that much heavier. Now these came from a dealer so they aren't replicas. Is there a difference in weight from a replica to a dealer rim?
