I was changing out my coil packs and spark plugs the other day and noticed that I had oil in the spark plug holes. On most vehicles I would conclude that the rings on my pistons are shot but I am not burning oil out of the exhaust. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before and if it is not as terrible as having to tear open my motor.

valve cover gasket.

 

on any car that is physically impossible due to the fact that spark plug is actually plugging the hole where the oil would have to travel thru to get on top on the plug and coil area...unless the electrode is covered in oil. but then you'd be burning oil.

valve cover gasket is your issue

 

X2, no biggy just get a kit from an online supplier and change it.

 

You've heard it 3 times.. Valve cover gasket... An easy and inexpensive task.
