Hello everyone!! I have a 2002 Audi A4 1.8. As I was driving my car several days ago, I heard a strange noise from the rear of the car. It sounds like a muted horn, making noise in morris code. It doesn't matter whether the car is idling, accelerating, or decelerating, the noise continues. I located the source of the noiseand it is on the rear passenger side, just before the rear tire. Other than the noise, the car seems to be running fine. I had the car to several service places, and each place gives me a different answer and a different price quote. Has anyone had this problem or know what is wrong with my car?

I think if you let the guy out of your trunk he'll stop making noises.

 

humming noise kinda? your fuel filter (most likely)... Better change it ASAP before your fuel pump didnt die.

 

Second on the plugged fuel filter.

 

Just solved this problem on my car - be prepared for the noise to continue after you change the filter, in which case it will be your fuel pump which will need to be replaced as well.

 

if its shaking (ticking) then most likely its just a filter
