Help with various fault codes!!! (1479, 0455, 01119)
My CEL had been on for quite some time and I decided to finally fix it. When I first pulled all the codes, I had 7 (yikes!). They were:
p0445 large leak
p0441 incorrect purge flow
p0429 cat bad
p0130 o2 sensor b1 s1 malfunction
p1479 brake vacuum mechanical fault
p1410 evap purge short to positive
p1654 instrument cluster memory
The cat and 02 sensor I am not as worried about, so I wanted to focus on the others. For the large leak I found a check valve just past the purge valve with a huge hole, so I replaced that. I also replaced the purge valve. I also search, briefly, for any other leaks on the other check valves and the hoses, with no apparent leaks. After replacing those two things, I cleared the codes and drove for a few days. After a few days of driving, the only ones to return are P1479 brake boost vacuum mechanical failure, p0420 cat below threshold, p0455 large leak, and 01119 35-10 ABS gear recognition signal. As I said before, I am not worried about the cat one so much as getting the others straightened out. I have read many forums, but everything that has been suggested, short of buying ALL new parts, hasn't worked out. I was hoping it would be an easy fix, as the car is 10 years old now . Any ideas or suggestions on what to try? I can post results of MB 008 if needed.

It seems I should read out the trans codes after the CEL code shows for the ABS. However, on a full scan, I believe it scans the trans too, but this may be pre-ABS scan. The post also talks about paddle shifters, which I don't have. Could the sensors on the pads just need a good cleaning? Or does a sensor need to be replaced?
