2002, v6, petrol, a4 cabriolet.
Hi, my engine managment light has couple
of times and wanted to know how to solve the problems that have shown up on the scan i did.
I have read threads on the forum about the clutch pedal problem but needed advise on the others please.


5 Faults Found:
17947 - Clutch Pedal Switch (F36)
P1539 - 004 - Implausible Signal
17831 - Secondary Air Injection System; Bank 1
P1423 - 002 - Insufficient Flow - MIL ON
17819 - Secondary Air Injection System; Bank 2
P1411 - 002 - Insufficient Flow - MIL ON
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30
P1602 - 002 - Voltage too Low - Intermittent
16890 - Idle Control System
P0506 - 002 - RPM Lower than Expected - Intermittent

When i disconect the battery to reset and scan again none of the above show up but a different one.


1 Fault Found:
00716 - Air recirculation Flap Positioning Motor (V113)
41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent

First off disconnecting the battery does not fix any problem the car has. It just makes the check engine light go out until the car runs the monitors again & discovers the problem again.
What are the complaints that you are trying to resolve?
From what i see you have a problem with the secondary air injection system that will make the check engine light go on , other than that do not look for problem unless you have a complaint!

 

seems like you have a vacuum leak on the control side of secondary air system
