I need to change my battery in the 03 A4 Quattro. What do I need to do to get the old battery out. I got all the plastic housing off already, the battery is just clamped down with something. Thanks

 

I was gonna be like "WTF" you can't change a battery but I remembered there's this mothereffing brace in front and behind it. Its hard to get to because you have that strut bar behind the second firewall so what I believe we did was unbolt the strut brace and swung it out. Then you'll be able to unbolt the battery brace. I would just leave it off too, I never put it back on since its safely there, unless your planning on barrel rolling the car

 

6mm allen bolt holds it down. its in front.

and leave the brace there... you can get the battery out with it there. just pull hard.
Audi put the brace there for a reason
