So being my fourth Audi i am never surprised by the problems and prices of things. As i was walking out my door this morning heading to work i noticed a really strong gas smell. So i got in my car backed it up and what do i see? Of course i see a full tank of gas drained onto my driveway... So i put my car on stands and look underneath and noticed a dripping coming from my gas tank. After more inspection i look and there was a repair done to my tank from the PO using what looks like just black epoxy. I peeled the epoxy off and i have a bout a 4 or 5 mm hairline crack in my tank. So my first thing was to call the Audi stealership and get a quote $2500.00 for a new tank and install!!!! So I looked around on forums and came up with a solution. Went to the local parts store and bought some Quiksteel Plastic Tank Repair. So far it has been about an hour since it has dried and no leaks. My question is has anyone ever used this or know anything about it?
