Default Interior Lights Dimming.

I have a 2004 A4 1.8T that recently had a patch done to fix a hole in the exhaust. The person fixing it is a friend of mine who owns and runs a pretty reputable shop. Well, since he's worked on it (the exhaust), my interior lights (speedo, stereo, AC..etc) are much dimmer and do not have the trademark red and white interior lighting colors I have become used to at night. Could repairing an exhaust have any effect on an electrical system? Sorry if this seems like a silly question but I don't want to confront a friend and create an awkward situation. Thanks

Try to pusht he + button on the dash over and over again. ITs a dimming switch for the cluster.

Thanks for the help Pa4ul! It worked. I guess when the power was pulled to do the fix it dimmed the lights...The "+" button is the button on the speedo that you use to change the time and date.

Yea when the bat is removed everything resets. ITs located under the fuel gauge on the dash.
