Intermittent flashing of oil light
I have a 2003 A4 1.8 T with 57,000 miles on it. I had the oil changed two months ago. Since then, the oil pressure light and accompanying beeping sound have come on three times while driving for about ten seconds before stopping. The oil pressure seems fine -- not too high or low when I check the level. No other issues with performance, engine or anything else. My guess is it may be simply electronic -- it could be a sensor malfunction or shorted wire in the system computer. Any ideas what it might be before I bring it in to the dealer? Thanks.
Oil pressure and oil level are 2 diff things. Low oil pressure can be caused by low oil level, but you ruled that out.
How long have you owned the car and what is the mileage? Has the oil always been changed on time?
