Hey guys, new to the audi forums as you can see from my post count. I love Audi's but to be completely honest I am a BMW guy. I own an E36 M3 and a E28 528e.

Now your asking why I joined the audi forums right? Well it's because my mom has an 04 A4 Convertible. Every time i've had a question this forum's search function has answered it. I joined because I have a question that hasn't been answered....

A couple months ago the convertible top stopped working, not completely though. It goes up, and stops when straight up in the sky. The passenger side shock spews out oil and we have to put it back down manually. My question is, where can I find a replacement shock, and how do I go about changing it....is that usually the problem?

Dude that part is best bought at the dealership although I'm sure there are some sites where you can get it at a cheaper price HOWEVER, you'd have to wait. Also, just like one shock, if it goes, you're best off replacing both.
