Looking to Buy 2004 Audi A4, need help
Heres the link to the car

Its long but works.
Anyways I use to have a heavily modded Dodge Stealth R/t Twin Turbo. I love awd and turbos but now that im 24 and have some cash i want a luxury type sports car. I drove this car and fell in love but after reading it seems like i may be biting off more than I can chew.
I was planning on offering the guy 12.5k for the car. Is this a fair price?
Also what things should i be worried about?
I know that CVT is an issue but I dont know how to tell if this car has one.
Also what about 60k timing belt replacement?
Please anyone with any insight on what the be aware of or look for in terms of potentially disasterous and costly repairs reply!!
Thank You Very Much

Link worked. First off, this is not a 6-cylinder. If you enlarge the rear shot, it is a 1.8T 4-cylinder turbo. That explains the absence of chrome trim around the windows, a feature of the more upscale 3.0l V6. I looked at 2002-04 A4s before buying a 2003 3.0l MT6 with 69k miles last August. It was dealer-maintained and in excellent shape. I paid $13k in a private deal. I suspect the 1.8T would go $1-2k less. The interior of the 1.8T is not as plush or full-featured as the 3.0l. Check Kelly Blue Book and offer low -- you can always increase your offer. I actually test drove my A4 in the middle of July (owner wanted $14.9), went away on vacation for 3 weeks, came back a week, and then offered $13k and he took it.
