Hi,

My car has the USP, but I don't have the steering wheel controls - not sure what year that started (???)

My 2005.5 2.0T did, but that's a different body style (larger front grill) so I don't know when they did that switch over for the radio controls....

As far as the GTO/S4, I don't really care which one is faster - if you sink enough money into either car, since they are great "platforms" to begin with, you can have a fantastic ride. The one thing I liked about the GTO was the interior/cabin room for the front - it was huge - actually more space than a 5-series BMW for the driver and front passenger, and yet it was a real sports car.

I had pondered getting a 2002 S4, and chipping it, but I was concerned about the oil plague issues, and the turbos going out. I promised the wife I would "attempt" to find a car that had all service records, so we wouldn't be buying a car that had been sitting in the service station half its life.

I love this A4 so far. Very controlled, very smooth, quiet, and enough power to get me around folks that are driving like it's Sunday afternoon.

Never the less, I did order the sprint booster, but it hasn't shipped yet. I should have it next week...

Best,

Quad

I'm enjoying my car too =]
it's my first manual so I'm learning a few new things about day to day driving, I've had my car for 3 weeks now, only been able to drive it for 3 days now tho =[ title issues and such but I felt like an idiot when I stalled it when I was parking at the bank today (oops!) kinda forgot to use the clutch.
but I'll get the hang of it with in the next couple days, it's just all new to me coming off an automatic.
& it's just right to where I won't get a speeding ticket =] don't feel like I have to "push" it as much since there isn't a great amount of horsepower. good for keeping my record spotless.

Alright, the car is "finally" the way it should have been from the factory...

I installed the sprint booster - WEIRD - I thought at first it just increased the rpm so the car was more in the sweet-power range, but it didn't. Suffice to say, it DID work - but seems like it helps more so at lower RPM ranges - up to about 3300rpm.

Car feels awesome - VERY GLAD I got a 3.0 at this point.

The chip + the sprint booster are the way to go - feels like a different car...

Best,

Quad

Well you don't hear that everyday, thats good you like it. I would drive a 3.0L ultrasport 6 speed if it had the right price. Then again i hate the 3.0L motor...
Glad you like it though.

Absolutely. Not sure which I would do first, they seem to work in "concert." I think the sprint booster is more noticeable...

I'm really excited to get my chip. the sprint booster seems a little pointless for that price but I will probably do it anyway, when I get the money of course.
I just wish I could have done everything as quick as you were able to Eric, I'm most excited about the rims and exhaust =]
which reminds me,
Rims, since I don't like black on black what do you guys recommend? Chrome or a Dark Chrome (forgot the name of the color) looks almost black when driving. I can't decide, I have chrome around my windows and doors and don't know which would look better and don't want to waste my money.

with rims u really just gotta seach around and see what intrest u. I went with a silver face and chrome lip so it would be easy to keep clean and also looks tasteful but not to ricey or overdone. Shop around just make sure u get the right bolt pattern and hub.

I put on my hyperflow intake a year ago, and for $300 or whatever it was, it was worth it. Not huge increases..but its NA man..

Milltek's exhaust for the S4 fits for the A4 3.0. Spendy, but what many people think is the best exhaust for the B6 3.0.
