Default Need Help!!! Identifying Mystery A4 2004 1.8 Turbo Cabriolet

Ok, so here's the situation. I have an A4 2004 1.8 Turbo Cabriolet. I brought it to a mechanic a few weeks ago to get a quote on fixing a few small things. He told me that this was a special type of A4 used to "test" some of the features of the Audi S4. He was saying a few differences from this A4 than the regular version of this car is that it has a bigger trunk, it has the same AC vents as the S4, and a few other things which I am trying to find out.

Can you confirm/deny what he was talking about? It is labeled as a regular A4, but the mechanic said you can tell the difference if you look for it (or know about it), and not many people know of this.

hmmm. I know the cabriolets look different then the a4's. Chrome vents and i think there are round too right? I for one have never heard of that though. Bigger trunk is also a plus for the cab. Any other features he pointed out?

Audi Prototypes have Wauzz VIN numbers.... I've driven some of them. RS4 special tune and trim. Pretty nice. But i'm pretty sure they get sent back to Germany and not sold

Default Here are the pics

Just took some pics today. My VIN doesn't have the ZZ that you were talking about, just the Wau. I put up a pic of half the VIN as well. I will have to call this mechanic and find out some more specifics, but he said something was different with the engine and tranny as well. (put up links as well in case the pics don't view)

it looks like a normal cab to me. Bigger trunk to have more room for the convertible. Ac vents in cabs all look different then a4's and the body looks identical to a a4cab. Just saying body wise it looks normal. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...G6eX6AH9pr2mDA
