Default Need advice on Remote Key Problem

Hello Friends,

I am planning to buy a 2005 Audi 3.2 Quattro from a dealer (not an Audi dealer) with only 26000 miles on it. I liked this vehicle very much except for one minor problem.

The remote key is not working to lock or unlock the doors. The dealer is saying he can not help me with this problem and suggests that I should take the car to a Audi dealer after I purchase it. According to him, since the car is still under 4 years/50000 warranty period I can get this problem fixed for no charge.

I just wanted to confirm it from you guys, if the claim of this dealer is correct? does the repairing of keyless entry system is covered in 4 years/50000 warranty period.

I would really appreciate any quick adive in this matter.

Thanks in advance. pls help me own this Audi

Best
Ashu

I lost my main key in the elevator, so now i'm using my second key which is not programmed to open/close car from the distance.
you better call the dealer and find out. My opinion is that they will charge you cause key is like a tire/clutch/light bulb. But lets hope tyw won't ))

Yeah, I think they'll charge you for it. Call to check, then if they said that they do, negotiate down on the price.
