Default Need Help 2003 audi a4 1.8t acceleration hesitation

I woke up this morning to go to work & started my 2003 audi a4 1.8t 5 speed and went to get gas and everything was fine. Once i got gas and left the gas station, I was in first gear i put my foot on the pedal and the car started to hesitate like it was choking. I thought at first i had an exhaust leak but I really do not think that is the problem. Also the check engine light came on but when the car is not moving the check engine doesnt no flash but while I drive it starts flashing??? Anyone have the same problem or know how to fix this??

I have that same issue , I havent started looking into it yet due to im in the middle of pulling the transmission due to a bad throw out bearing. But it didnt due it until i did the tune up and the napa gave me really cheap plugs for it im assuming its has something to do the plugs of ignition system. being it didnt to it before. This is my next thing to tackle as soon as i get the new clutch in.

Hey I don't know if you fixed it or not. A blinking CEL means your cat converter is on the verge of melt down. If your car is jerky when you drive and then the CEL begins to flash, it is most likely missfiring. Scan your CEL with an obd scanner, (auto zone can do it for free) and if the code is p0301 for example, the "03" indicates a misfire and the number after is the cylinder number. If this is the case, replace the coil on that cylinder. This happened to me and new coils fixed the issue. If not this then it maybe fuel pump related.
Good luck
