Need help with interior scratched
Hi Everyone,
I am a new owner of an audi (this is my first one) and I love it so far. Since I bought the car used, one thing that bothers mearethe scratches onthe climate control panel. This got worse today when I had a NAV system installed and the people who installed it added awhole lotmore scratches to the point that I am really considering replacing the whole climate control panel altogether. However before I do that, I was wondering, is there a way that I can just paint over the plastic or some other way that can mask the scratches on the plastic (there is some plastic peeling off on the power windows panel as well that could use fixing).
You guys are the experts, any help would be appreciated.

RE: Need help with interior scratched
I am also a new owner of a 2003 A4 with the 3.0 V6 and the multitronic transmission. I have a couple of window buttons, and one or two climate control buttons that could use touch-up or repair. Those are the only blemishes on an otherwise perfect car. The exterior and interior is immaculate. This is what I have found so far, but I am not sure of the quality. $40 seems expensive for stickers to me. I would price the panel new from the dealer first, then the for sale forum this board has prior to Eb@y. If you do buy the stickers, send me before and after pictures please.Enjoy your ride.

I have a similar issue with mine... as I'm sure most of us do. That is a lot for those stickers... and the pictures they have posted look like a brand new climate control and light switch (not with stickers on). But, mabey they are just that good.
Post some pics if someone does this!

RE: Need help with interior scratched
I had problems with the rubber coating on my 03' 3.0 but my 03' Avant 1.8T hasn't had those issues. The only bad spot I have is a fingernail scratch on the door grab handle that happened one day when the door pulled away when wind caught it. I was so pissed. I don't know why Audi uses such soft rubber for parts that see such hard use, but that's life.[:@]

Ya, fingernails... Not to nag on women drivers, love em. But, I'm certain that my car's previous owner was a woman. The climate control, light switch, driver's window switch and door handle are all chewed up by nails. Must have been pretty heavy set one too, cuz the seat isn't in great shape either!(couple of rips) ... need to find a way to fix that as well.
But, it could have been a guy with really bad hygiene as well![&:]
