Scratched rim

Scratched rim
Has anyone had any luck with using touch up paint on the outer edge of your aluminum rim? Does being so close to the road just cause the paint to come off making it not worth the effort? I picked up a object in my tire, and had it removed. Fortunatly the tire did not go flat. Well, the place that fixed the tire scratched the outer edge of the rim up pretty bad. Of course in the fine print they say they are not responsible for damage, so there is nothing I can do. I have a CPO which has new tires, the rims were not scratched, so I know it is possible to remove and put on tires without damaging the rims. I am totally ticked off. I keep my baby clean, maintained, and in good shape, and now this.

I would ask the company to pay to fix it regardless of their fine print. Let them know that if they don't, you will never patronize them again.
If they refuse, here's a DIY: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/realwhda.html
