Default new guy here Tranny question

I own a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T with GGT Transmission code. Wondering if I can interchange it with 2005 Audi a4 1.8T HCP transmission code. Seems like it's the exact size. I have the car at the shop with the hcp tranny wonder if i should take the risk to have them put it in. Please let me know
Thanks

meant to say not sure how to take that answer. I hope you're saying they'll fit. Mechanic doesn't know the codes are different so i'm taking $1000.00 risk. I hope the TCM will match along with Bell housing and everything else

i was talking about Trannys, but honestly im not sure about your question. The one thing ive learned from owning an Audi is DO NOT TAKe THE RISK!!! unless you have a couple stacks to throw at your car on a frequent basis. Im having problem after problem with my B5 S4. Ive taken the risks and have payed dearly. Good luck with your project.
