Default No seatbelt warning...!!

I don't see the seatbelt warning in my 2003 Audi A4 3.0L

Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't see the "bell" sign that comes up in other cars including my Nissan Maxima!

You want the actual light to come on and beep at you!? Someone already turned it off using a vagcom. The comfort control module has to be coded to see it, if you don't own one you can't do it.

Yes. I want the light to show up and beep when driving without wearing Seatbelt.

I don't have a vagcom. I will have to go to the dealer. Not sure how much I need to pay for this.. :-(

Normally another Audi/VW guy would have a VAG-com cable but you have to find the recoding yourself. Go to Ross-Tech site to look for the code. I don't think that the dealer will recode it for you but if they do, is probably going to be expensive.

Funny, for me, putting on a seatbelt is such a reflex that all the beeper does is annoy me, since I tend to turn on the car and then put on the seatbelt. (Got into the habit of this because I used to live with a garage that didn't power up and down, and thus had to get in the car, turn it on, back out, then get out and shut the garage. No point in putting on the seatbelt just to back out of the garage.)

Wish I could shut mine off, TBH; maybe I can get the mechanic to do that for me when I take my car in for service on Wednesday...

Yeah most dealer techs don't know the coding for that believe it or not. If you are going to take it to the dealer print out how to do it from www.ross-tech.com

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/...8E2/8E5/8H7%29

Audi A4 (8E) Instrument Cluster (8E2/8E5/8H7)

As per the instructions on this page, should the code be 0000231 to turn on airbag warning?

What does 8E2/8E5/8H7 mean?
