Default Oil in the Intercooler??

Ok, thanks in advance for your responses. I have a 2003 A4 quatro 1.8T that intermittently uses oil. It will use no oil for 1500 miles and then go through a quart in 500 miles. I found a large quantity of oil (about how much I lost) in the intercooler.

Thoughts on what is going on??

Again thanks

All turbos have some amount of oil in the intercooler piping... But if you have excessive consumption and oil i would replace your breather assembly... PCV and hoses
