My audi b6 outside temp guage shows about 10 degrees warmer than it is outside. Anyone have any experience with this?

I think this affects the temp of the cabin because of the automatic thermostat.

The exterior temp sensor is malfunctioning, it won't affect the interior temp because it has a built in sensor inside the A/C control head for that.
You need to replace the sensor behind the front bumper and clean the electrical connector. You need to remove the bumper to change it out as well.

 

Ouch, I ordered the part. A paltry $9, but the service tech thought I only needed to remove the belly pan. Any way around removing the front bumper-say I just wanted to try and clean the connections first?

 

You can try and remove the front bumper grilles and reach around to it, but its really not that hard to remove the front bumper.
