Default Passenger window won't go up

first off hello everyone. Its been a while since ive posted here.

so here it goes.
Today I purchased a 02 a4 3.0
with 100k on it for 5k and I can say I've never been happier.

The only problem with the car is the drivers side rear window will go down but not back up with the drivers master switch.
now if I used the rear switch it will go back up so I know its not a motor issue. what do you guys think? Bad master switch?

Ps I searched but came up with nothing so sry everyone if this has been asked before

Sounds like you found a pretty good deal. The problem sounds like it is the switch. Could be wiring, but lets hope its the switch

Yes its the master switch, thats one of the many complaints from the switch. The more common is both rear windows won't operate due to a faulty child lock out button in the switch.
