Default Possessed sunroof

I was driving down the highway today and my sunroof started opening and closing on its own. I opened it and then closed it and that seemed to stop it. I was able to find a fix on here but the switch shown doesn't look like mine. I have the crescent moon type switch on a 2004 a4. Is there a fix for this as well? Is it probably the same problem the other models have or something more serious?

Thanks-
Ryan

Haven't had this problem but I suspect the switch contacts need to be cleaned and re-bent.

I had the same problem, but I recently had my 35K mile service done and one of the things they did was grease the tracks and clean the switch contacts.....seems to be good now

Welcome to the nightmare... My 03' A4 3.0 did that and my Avant does it. The S4 hasn't yet, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time. I need to pull the switch apart in my Avant and clean the contacts.

Yah same here... my 1.8t and my 3.0 do that sometimes aswell. I will tilt the sunroof open and like 20 secs later it closes... Also, on my 3.0 the pass side window will roll back down after i roll it up. ?????? weird

So I guess this will continue to happen and probably get worse. Hopefully it won't happen on a rainy day. So is it easy to fix as i am not experienced with this type thing but am trying to learn? I have an 04 avant 1.8. I found the DIY somewhere but it is not the same switch.

What the heck causes the window to do this?
