This steeing rack is a B*tch!!! I have all the bolts out the rack moves freely with the car from left to right.

I have looked at the tutorial here: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/misc-40.shtml which has information on the B5. This was extremely helpful right up until the point of taking the assembly out of the car. For some reason the rack keeps getting hung up. From inside the vehicle it looks to be the area by the steering wheel linkage. No matter how much I twist the unit (or attempt to twist it) I can't seem to get it past the firewall and down the steering rack tunnel.

Is there something that I am missing? all fluid lines are disconnected, all mounting bolts are off, the unit is free but I can't get it out. Anyone have any suggestions or live anywhere around Marietta Ohio and want to help a guy out here.
